RESIDENCE, LLOYD HARBOR, NY
These clients were new to art acquisition and took their time to settle on several works. The large red abstracted landscape was a commission and they unexpectedly—and boldly--opted for the saturated red palate. Designer Leni Calas of Ward 5 Design and I were taken off guard and thrilled!
RESIDENCE, BROOKLYN HEIGHTS, NY
My clients (new to collecting) and I explored a variety of subject matter and styles before concluding that they wanted a silkscreen or lithograph by a prominent, contemporary artist and the work must convey a sense of serenity. Even with the red background and dramatic scale, the woman's face of composure achieves this goal.
THE PRINTING HOUSE, WEST VILLAGE, NY
This was our very first venture into sourcing artwork for a model condominium. Our collaboration with Carrier and Company was immensely satisfying -- the property developer took me aside to thank me for showing him how integral artwork is to the sale of a residence.
RESIDENCE, UPPER WEST SIDE, NY
Magdalena Keck is a true believer in the importance of the harmonious relationship between the art selections and the room’s design. We began the art acquisition journey at the beginning of her design process, so her clients could take their time in making a final decision. Here we focused upon Mid-century, mixing up works from two estates and three contemporary studios.
